Extremophilic PDF Crochet Pattern
Extremophilic pays homage to the class of creatures known as extremophiles. They not only survive, but thrive in the harshest conditions that our planet has to offer. The most famous of these are the tardigrades, who have been subjected to all sorts of tests of their endurance and survivability. The colorway chosen here, Resilience, is inspired by the same kind of strength and adaptive mechanisms the make extremophiles successful.
The pattern itself is not extreme or complex. In fact, it is a simple repeat throughout, modified every other section to introduce gentle waves into the stitch striping pattern. Its shape gives
interest beyond a simple rectangle. In fact, it would be entirely possible to turn it into a full shawl by continuing to work the increase rows until the desired width, then moving to the decrease rows.
