This pattern gives you the ultimate freedom to combine colors and work in any order and yarn weight you wish to create a wearable work of art as unique as yourself. With options for ribbing, alternating stripes, col or work, mirroring, multiple sizes, and multiple yarn weights, this pattern has it all.

So, what are you waiting for? Go shop your stash or hit the store to find the perfect combination for you. Grab your hooks, settle in, and go on a Tunisian crochet journey with me.

Supplies and Notions

All hooks are double ended hooks. Choose a cable length you're comfortable with based on the circumference. You will need 2 balls of yarn for each color–one for the forward pass and one for the return pass if your hook or cable is not able to go the full circumference of the cowl.

Fingering: US D (3.25 mm) and US G (4.0 mm) hooks

DK: US G (4.0 mm) and US H (5.0 mm) hooks

Worsted: US H (5.0 mm) and US J (6.0 mm) hooks

Yarn

Sample Yarn

Because of the multiple yarn weights used, I did not have a specific yarn in mind when I designed this. Any yarn at these weights will work provided you can match the gauge.

Sample is made with Cascade Anthem in Black and Plymouth Encore in color 9860.

A Note on Yardage:

This is a two color cowl, though by continuing to repeat the pattern at the color change, it could be as many colors and as tall as you wish. Additional repeats will require more yarn. A small amount of extra yardage has already been factored into these totals.
