Rory PDF Knitting Pattern
When it’s cool, but not cold, a lightweight hat is perfect for chilly mornings or evenings. This is a simple yet elegant design with plenty of room to mix and match colors or use that funky yarn you’ve been waiting for the perfect project to use.
Materials
Size US 6/4 mm needles, 16” circular and DPNs
Stitch marker
Gauge (4”/10 cm square)
24 sts x 28 rows in Stockinette St
Yarn
Sport-DK weight yarn, 125 yds
Samples are made with One Knit Wonder from Yarn Factory (discontinued) and Vintage DK from Berroco in
Pumpkin and Oat.
Finished measurements
9” / 22.5 cm tall x 14” / 35 cm circumference at rib. Stretches to 21.5” / 58 cm.
Note: To adjust the circumference, increase or decrease the total number of stitches in 2-stitch increments as desired. Work decreases as written, knitting any extra stitches until they fit into the decrease scheme. Height can be adjusted to preference by knitting more or fewer rows before decreasing, though it will change yardage requirements.
